The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) El Paso District, in collaboration with the El Paso Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) will hold aVirtual Public Hearing with an In-Person Option for El Paso District Bicycle and Pedestrian Projects.
The meeting will focus on transportation projects, programs, and policies affecting bicycle use and pedestrian mobility improvements in El Paso and surrounding communities. TxDOT, the MPO, and local partners are working collaboratively on a common goal to connect the multimodal network within the region. There are over 30 proposed projects in El Paso, Presidio, and Brewster counties, including sidewalks, shared use paths, bicycle lanes, pedestrian crossings, and overall infrastructure improvements.
Project staff will provide a presentation, which will also be recorded and posted on the website. The public hearing will include both audio and visual components. The content will be the same in both formats and attendees are invited to comment in person or online. The public is encouraged to provide feedback as the community’s input is vitally important to how TxDOT/MPO can prioritize projects related to bicycle and pedestrian improvements in El Paso and the surrounding areas.
