UMC Foundation, El Paso Children’s Hospital Foundation announce New Board members

Monday afternoon, officials with the University Medical Center Foundation, as well as the El Paso Children’s Hospital Foundation  welcomed two new board members: Kristin Sizemore and Keeli Jernigan.

“I am very excited to have two proven community leaders like Keeli and Kristin join our board,” said John Hjalmquist Board Chair for UMC Foundation and El Paso Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Keeli Jernigan is President and CEO of Trans-Expedite, Inc. a global provider of end-to-end transportation and logistics solutions. Under her leadership, the 19-year-old company became the first indirect air carrier in the El Paso Market to meet Congress-mandated screening measures and qualify as a Certified Cargo Screening Facility.

Keeli has been recognized several times by the Women Presidents’ Organization as one of the 50 Fastest-Growing Women-Owned/Women-Led Businesses in North America. Keeli is purpose-drven and engaged in community philanthropy. She has served on the national Board of Directors for the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, a leader in developing supplier diversity and women’s business growth.

“I am honored to serve on the board of the UMC Foundation and El Paso Children’s Hospital Foundation and am committed to supporting the Foundations’ vital mission which positively impacts patients and health care professionals in our community,” said Keeli Jernigan.

Kristin Sizemore is the Vice President of Property Management with Bohannon Development Corporation.

Kristin has served in many elected leadership roles with the El Paso Apartment Association Board of Directors. Kristin has served on the Texas and National Apartment Association and with the Privatization of Military Housing Committee. Kristin has received several awards throughout her career; she has been recognized with the Rita Kerby Regional Property Manager of the Year Award and the Paragon Award for Professional Designate of the Year.

“El Paso is my home. It is an honor to serve in a vital role to support the health needs of my community,” said Kristin Sizemore.

Kristin and Keeli will serve a three-year term 2021-2024.

“Keeli and Kristin bring perspective and understanding of the needs facing our hospitals and community. I am excited to start working alongside these new members of the Foundation board,” said Estela Casas Executive Director of UMC and El Paso Children’s Hospital Foundation.
