UMC preparing El Paso for Flu Season with special mass drive-through vaccinations

Monday morning, officials with University Medical Center of El Paso announced that they will conduct a special “drive through” flu vaccination event next week.

“El Pasoans can remain in their cars and safely vaccinated for this year’s flu season,” UMC officials shared via a news release. “This year, the flu season arrives in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic; this year, it’s FluVid Season.”

The vaccination event is scheduled October 6 and 7 – from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. – at the El Paso County Coliseum for children and adults (ages 4 and up).

Officials add that most insurance will cover the cost of each vaccination, however for anyone wanting self-pay or uninsured, the cost is only $10.
