UTEP Announces Revised Parking Policy for R-5 ‘Rudolph’ Lot

The R-5 parking lot, formerly the Rudolph lot, is now being managed by Parking Systems of America.

Since the lot is no longer under UTEP’s control, fans should be made aware of the parking policy for upcoming football and basketball games.

Parking Systems of America has agreed to let UTEP operate the lot for the remaining football home games versus Old Dominion (Oct. 29), Houston Baptist (Nov. 5) and North Texas (Nov. 26).  The lot will continue to be split between free parking and RV parking.

RV parking passes are $50 per game and are available by calling 747-5234.

For all men’s and women’s basketball games, Parking Systems of America will manage the lot and will charge $5 per vehicle.  The first UTEP men’s home game is on Oct. 30 against Southeastern Oklahoma State.

The first UTEP women’s home game is on Nov. 4 versus Saint Mary’s (Texas).

  1. What ever became of the proposed Apartment, retail development planned for the former Rudolph lot? That was back in 2013 and yet nothing has happened ever since then. There was even an artist rendering of what was to be built at the 7 acre property that consisted of Smart Growth standard development.
Well at least for now maybe some UTEP basketball games might be good to attend since parking is now available at $5 per vehicle.
