UTEP Athletics is seeking performers for men’s and women’s basketball halftime shows this season and doing it in the most unique way.
Officials with UTEP announced Tuesday the first-ever, ‘Miners Got Talent’ competition.
Via a news release, officials shared, “If you believe that you’ve got what it takes, you’re invited to show your skills at “Miners Got Talent,” UTEP Athletics’ first-ever talent competition on Saturday, June 16, at Memorial Gym.”
Auditions will be accepted from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. There is a time limit of five minutes per contestant. Bands must provide their own equipment.
Music for dance performances must be on a USB drive. A microphone and speakers will be provided for musical acts.
The top talents will compete during basketball halftime shows and advance by an audience vote. A grand prize of $1,000 will be awarded to the first place winner.
