UTEP Golf in 17th Place Midway Through First Round

Laredo, Texas-  Play was suspended on day one of the Border Olympics in Laredo, Texas, due to a copious amount of rainfall. The Miners, who have only completed 11 holes, are in 17th place at 10-over par.

Baylor leads the 18 team field at eight-under par.

Nick Pihl, Andreas Sorenson and Chad Ahn (individual) are both tied for 52nd place at two-over par when play was halted. Frederik Dreier and Charlie Corner are tied for 71st at three-over par and Ben Getman is in 82nd place at four-over par.

Round one will be continued tomorrow morning at 6:15 a.m. (MT) and after the completion of round one, the second and final round will begin. Results will be available at golfstat.com
