UTEP men’s basketball returns to face FIU; Women take 7 game winning streak on road

For fans who love Miner Hoops, Valentine’s Day weekend is a bouquet of basketball, with the men returning home to defend the Don and the women hitting the road with a red-hot seven game winning streak in tow.

First off, the UTEP men’s basketball team will look to get back in the win column when it hosts high-volume shooting FIU on Friday, Feb. 12. The Miners (8-10, 4-8 Conference USA) and Panthers (9-12, 2-10 C-USA) will tipoff at 7 p.m. in the Haskins Center.

Meanwhile the Miner Women (12-5, 9-3 C-USA) take their seven-game winning streak on the road this weekend as the Miners face FIU (9-7, 6-4 C-USA) in league play Feb. 12-13 at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center in Miami.

The Miner men will be streamed on ESPN+ with Erik Elken calling play-by-play and Leonard Owens providing analysis. Fans can tune into the home of UTEP Basketball 600 ESPN El Paso and the UTEP Miners app and listen to “The Voice of the Miners” Jon Teicher call the action in his 40th season.  Saturday’s contest is set for a 7 p.m. tip and will be streamed on ESPN+ and can be heard on the home of UTEP Basketball 600 ESPN El Paso.

For the women, Tipoff set for 5 p.m. MT on Friday, while the series finale is set for 12 p.m. MT on Saturday. Friday’s game can be seen on CUSA.TV, while Saturday’s contest will be streamed on ESPN+ for subscribers.

Fans can also tune in to the radio broadcast with Tim Hagerty calling all the action on the UTEP Miners app for both games. Saturday’s game will also air on ESPN 600 El Paso.
