Friday morning, UTEP Men’s Golf has announced the Miners’ 2021 spring schedule, featuring three regular season events with the possibility of adding additional tournaments in the future.
The Miners, who are under the direction of first-year head coach Derek Plucienski, are scheduled to open the new slate at the Louisiana Classics, which will be hosted by UL-Lafayette, on March 15-16. The event will be played at Oakbourne Country Club in Lafayette, Louisiana.
UTEP will return to links on April 5-6 to compete in the Bayou City Collegiate Classic in Houston, Texas. The Bayou City Collegiate Class will be hosted by Rice and is set to be played at Westwood Golf Club.
The spring season will continue at the Western Intercollegiate at Pasatiempo Golf Course in Santa Cruz, Calif., and is hosted by San Jose State.
The Conference USA Championship will be played at Texarkana Country Club beginning on April 26 with the finals set for April 29.
The NCAA Regionals will take place May 17-19 at a location to be determined, while the NCAA Championship will take place in Scottsdale, Ariz., at Grayhawk Golf Club on May 28-June 2.
The Miners return six golfers from last year’s roster, including Santiago Castilla, Danny Daniels, Cole Donielson, Marcus Khaw, Jacob Presutti and Greg Yellin.
