UTEP Men’s Golf Drops Two Spots on Day Two at C-USA Championship Tuesday
After a solid opening round of play, UTEP shot 10-over par (287-298—585) and dropped to tied seventh at the 2022 Men’s Golf Conference USA Championship at Texarkana Country Club (par 72 – 6,969 yards) in Texarkana, Ark., on Tuesday afternoon.
Danny Daniels (70-71—141) remained tied for sixth after shooting 1-under on day two. Greg Yellin (72-71—143) moved up seven spots tied for seventh after firing a 71. Marcus Khaw (71-78—149) is tied for 40th, Jacob Presutti (74-78—152) is tied for 47th, and Greg Holmes (75-79—154) is tied for 55th.
Wednesday’s third-round action will begin at 7 a.m. MT/8 CT with La Tech and UTEP. Live results will be available on GolfStat.
Holmes will tee off at 7 a.m. MT, Presutti at 7:08 a.m., Khaw at 7:16 a.m., Yellin at 7:24 a.m., and Daniels at 7:32 a.m.
Florida Atlantic (281-286—567) remained atop the leaderboard after shooting 2-under par. The Owls have shot 9-under par after 36 holes of action. Southern Miss (286-285—571) moved up two spots to no. 2 with its 3-under performance on Tuesday. UTSA (285-292—577) stayed at no.3, while Rice (284-295—579) dropped two spots to fourth. No. 28 Charlotte (294-288—582) and LA Tech (297-285—582) are tied for fifth. The 49ers moved up three spots, while the Bulldogs moved up six spots for the biggest jump after 36 holes.
LA Tech’s James Swash (70-66—136) led the way at 6-under on Tuesday, moving up five spots to no. 1 on the player leaderboard. Marshall’s Tyler Jones (67-71—138) and FAU’s Max Sturdza (68-70—138) are tied for second.
