UTEP Men’s Golf Finishes Redhawk Invitational

The UTEP men’s golf team finished in 22nd place at the 8th Seattle U Redhawk Invitational at Chamber’s Bay Golf Course (par 71 – 7,068 yards) in University Place, Wash., on Tuesday afternoon.

Monday’s first two rounds were canceled due to severe weather conditions. Prior to the cancelation, UTEP was tied for sixth. It was determined that the field will play 18 holes on Tuesday that will determine the team and individual titles.

The Miners shot 33-over par, 317. Boise State won the event with a 287 (+3).

Jacob Presutti (76) finished as the top Miners, shooting 5-over par 71. Greg Holmes (77), Marcus Khaw (81), Damon Vilkauskas (83) and Danny Daniels (83) rounded out the order of finish for UTEP.

Boise State’s Max Charles won the individual title, firing a 69 (-2). Seattle U’s Nathan Cogswell (70) finished second, while four other student-athletes tied for third, shooting even par (71).


UTEP will conclude the regular season at the Bayou City Collegiate hosted by Rice in Conroe, Texas, on April 11-12. The Miners will then hit the links at the 2022 Conference USA Championships on April 25-28 in Texarkana, Ark.
