UTEP shot 1-under par (287) in the first round and finished the first 18 holes tied for fourth at the 2022 Men’s Golf Conference USA Championship at Texarkana Country Club (par 72 – 6,969 yards) in Texarkana, Ark., on Monday.
Tuesday’s second-round action will begin at 7 a.m. MT/8 CT with North Texas and UAB, while the Miners will tee off at 7:40 a.m. MT. Live results will be available on GolfStat. UTEP will be paired with Southern Miss.
Danny Daniels finished day one tied for fifth after firing a 70 (-2). Marcus Khaw (71) is tied for 11th, Greg Yellin (72) tied for 17th, Jacob Presutti (74) is tied for 31st and Greg Holes (75) tied for 44th.
Florida Atlantic (281) leads the team leaderboard, while Rice (284) is second and UTSA (285) in third. Southern Miss (286) sits in fourth.
Marshall’s Tyler Jones (67) leads the field, while FAU’s Max Sturdza (68) sits at no. 2. Rice’s Raghav Chugh (69), and UTSA’s pair of Hunter Bott (69) and Michael Rome (69) are tied for third.
