UTEP Men’s Golf Finishes Fall Season at the Little Rock Invitational on Tuesday

The UTEP men’s golf team finished tied for 10th at the Little Rock Invitational at Chenal Country Club – Founders Course (par 72, 7115 yards) on Tuesday afternoon.

The Miners got off to a hot start in the first two rounds, penciling in scores of 289 in the first 18 holes and a 284 the next 18. UTEP was tied for third heading into Tuesday’s final round, but shot 307 to finish 16-over par, 880.

Miners recorded 50 birdies and 154 pars.

Host school Little Rock defended its title from 2020, outdriving the field with an 18-under par, 846 (287, 277, 282). Lamar came in second at 1-under par, 863. Central Arkansas finished last (+62, 926).

Jacob Presutti finished as the top Miner (tied 23rd), shooting 3-over par, 219 (73, 70, 76). Presutti shot even on par 4 holes. Danny Daniels finished tied for 36th (220). Greg Yellin (221), Marcus Khaw (226) and Greg Holmes (226) rounded out the finishers for UTEP.

Little Rock’s Anton Albers won the individual title, shooting 13-under par, 203 (68, 68, 67). His teammate Magnus Lomholt placed second (-10, 206). Boise State’s Hugo Townsend finished in third place (-7, 209).

UTEP will open the spring season at the Arizona Intercollegiate on Jan. 24-25.
