UTEP Rifle fires season high 4581 at NCAA Qualifiers
FAIRBANKS, Alaska – UTEP rifle shot its highest score of the season in its loss to Alaska Fairbanks, 4710-4581, at the NCAA Qualifier match Saturday night.
Sophomore Jonna Warnken paced the Miners with an 1153 aggregate (564 smallbore, 589 air rifle).
Redshirt freshman Isabel Brooks fired a team-best 567 in the smallbore on her birthday. Redshirt sophomore Jennifer Windle and freshman Isabella Rios were tired for second on the squad in air rifle, both firing a 580.
The Miners will await to see if they are selected to compete at the NCAA Championships on March 13 in Columbus, Ohio.
