UTEP Rifle Fires Second-Highest Score Of Season At TCU
FT WORTH, Texas- The UTEP rifle team fired its second-highest score of the season in a 4707-4592 loss at TCU Saturday.
Sophomore Bailey Powell paced the Orange and Blue with an aggregate of 1161. She recorded a score of 569 in smallbore before unleashing a season-high 592 in air rifle.
Sophomore Abby Monique shot a campaign-best aggregate of 1150. She registered a 570 in smallbore and fired a season-high 580 in air rifle.
Sophomore Mara Rouse finished with an aggregate of 1138. She posted a 570 in smallbore and tallied a 568 in air rifle.
Freshman Jessica Boyce compiled an aggregate of 1136. She checked in at 560 in smallbore and shot a 576 in air rifle.
Junior Maranda Nelson recorded an aggregate of 1135, using a 562 in smallbore and a 573 in air rifle.
Freshman Samantha Miller produced an aggregate of 1125. She shot a 557 in smallbore and notched a total of 568 in air rifle.
UTEP will return to action when it plays host to Alaska-Fairbanks on Friday. Admission is free with the match being held at the UTEP Rifle Range inside the Military Sciences building. Smallbore starts at 9 a.m. and air rifle commences at 11:45 a.m.
