Fans are invited to join UTEP Athletics and some special guests for the inaugural “Select-A-Seat” event for the upcoming 2021-22 UTEP men’s and women’s basketball seasons from 5:30 p.m-7:30 p.m. at the Don Haskins Center on Thursday, October 7.
“I’m excited about the upcoming ‘Select-A-Seat’ event on Oct. 7,” UTEP men’s basketball head coach Joe Golding said. “It’s a great way to get the seat you want and meet with some of our players. I appreciate everyone who has bought season tickets already and encourage anyone who hasn’t to please consider it. One of the many special things about Miner basketball is the passionate fan base. It’s time to bring that passion, energy, and magic back to The Don!”
Fans may enter at the side tunnel entrance at the Haskins Center.
Season ticket holders will have the chance to see the arena and seats for the upcoming season. Furthermore, fans will also have the opportunity to view which seats remain available for the season. Great season-ticket locations for both men’s and women’s basketball can still be purchased.
The event will provide the unique opportunity to sit in a seat and imagine the action from that viewpoint before making the purchase.
Members from the UTEP Athletics ticketing office will be on hand to answer questions, provide information on different ticket options and explain the numerous benefits of becoming a season ticket holder.
Season ticket plans start as low as $65 for women’s basketball and as low as $170 for men’s basketball per seat for all regular-season home games. Season ticket holders will receive preferred seating inside the Don Haskins Center for the 2021-22 season.
Current season ticket holders will have the ability to upgrade from their current location. Potential new season ticket holders are also encouraged to attend the event and view and sit in different locations throughout the Don Haskins Center.
“This will be a great event to reconnect with our fanbase who love watching the Miners play,” UTEP women’s basketball head coach Kevin Baker said. “It has been a while since we have seen the majority of our Miner fans. Most importantly, they will get to meet the new faces on our team. We can’t wait to fill up the Don Haskins Center again, and this is a fantastic way to get the ball rolling. The season will be here soon so get to the Haskins Center and select a seat!”
There will be delicious drinks and snacks available during the event, and Coach Golding and Coach Baker will be on sight to mingle with fellow Miner fans.
Players from both men’s and women’s basketball teams will be in attendance to sign autographs, take pictures and interact with the fan base. Paydirt Pete, and the Cheer Team will also be at the event.
