The UTEP soccer team will be hosting three open training sessions this month for the public to come and watch and learn from the stands.
“We are committed to not only improving the quality of soccer on University Field, but within the Border Region,” UTEP head coach Kathryn Balogun said. “We want to be a resource for all coaches in this area.”
The sessions are scheduled for Saturday, August 14, Sunday, August 15 and Saturday, August 21.
The Miners’ coaching staff will provide lesson plans and host a post-training question and answer session for local coaches in attendance.
The goalkeeper portion of the practice will begin at 8:45 a.m., with field player warm-up commencing at 9 a.m. on the sessions slated for Saturday and Sunday.
For the training session on Aug. 21 things will get going at 10 a.m.
Interested individuals are asked to RVSP to associate head coach Stew Givens by 8 a.m. the day of the training via e-mail at [email protected]
