UTEP Soccer has announced its upcoming schedule for the 2021 spring season, head coach Kathryn Balogun and the program announced on Thursday.
The season gets underway on Jan. 29 with an exhibition versus NM State at 7 p.m. MT in El Paso. The regular season will start on February 4 as the Miners kick off a two-game road stretch at Arizona State. From there, UTEP will play at Arizona (February 7) before returning home to host NM State (February 11) in El Paso.
 On February 13, the Miners host Utah Valley at 7 p.m. MT at University Field before a pair of road games at Angelo State (February 19) and Lubbock Christian (Feb. 21) prior to kicking off Conference USA play.
The league slate is scheduled to kick off on February 28 when the Miners host Louisiana Tech at 11 a.m. MT in El Paso. UTEP defeated LA Tech last season by a score of 2-0 in El Paso.
UTEP will open the month of March by traveling to take on Southern Miss on March 6 before returning home to host UAB at 12 p.m. MT on March 14.
The Miners will step out of league play briefly and hit the road for a non-conference match against Big 12 foe Oklahoma State on Sunday, March 21. UTEP will then turn its attention to a Conference USA road contest at UTSA on Saturday, March 27 in San Antonio.
On April 2, UTEP will play hosts to the North Texas Mean Green for its final home game of the season at University Field in El Paso, while the regular season is scheduled to wrap up on the road at Rice on April 8 in Houston.
Last season, the Miners finished with an overall record of 10-7-3, marking the first double-digit win total for the program in three years. UTEP also went 5-4-1 in C-USA action to punch its ticket to the league championships for the first time since the 2016 campaign. It was also the first winning season in league play since a 6-2-2 effort in 2014.
UTEP returns 21 players, including eight starters. The Miners also have eight newcomers in the fold, giving Balogun a deep squad.
Rice will host the 2021 Conference USA Tournament on April 13-17 in Houston.
