UTEP takes on Texas State in Hockey at Coliseum Events Center

After taking down the Texas Tech Red Raiders for two decisive wins last weekend, the UTEP Miners hockey team is ready to claim two more, this time against the Texas State Bobcats.

The league-leading Miners, who are crushing the South Division in the Texas Collegiate Hockey Conference, will take on the Bobcats in a two-game home series at the El Paso County Coliseum Events Center (4100 E. Paisano.)

UTEP, now 21-2, will once again rely on the strength of its talented forward Lukas Znosko, who leads the Miners with a whopping 59 points. Texas State, 9-15 and also in the South Division, will look to forward Scott Brownrigg, who has 29 points, to guide the Bobcats.

The games are set for 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, and 11 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 22.

Tickets are $5 for general admission, Black Section and Grey Section; $10 for Orange Section; $15 for Glass Section; $20 for Balcony; and free for military with ID. They are available at the El Paso County Coliseum Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 800-745-3000 and online.
