UTEP Tennis Completes Fall Season on Day Three of Jack Kramer Invitational

The UTEP women’s tennis completed action at the Jack Kramer Invitational on Saturday at the Jack Kramer Tennis Club.

Lois Wagenvoort was defeated in the quarterfinals of the consolation bracket by Northwestern’s Rheeya Doshi, 5-7, 2-6.

In doubles action, Maria Paula Medina and Lois Wagenvoort paired up to battle it out against Northwestern’s tandem, Nina Van Oost and Brooke Rischbieth, in the first round of consolation doubles but were defeated, 6-8.

The Miners have concluded the 2016 fall schedule and will now prepare for the spring season.

SATURDAY’S RESULTS

Singles Consolation Quarterfinals- R. Doshsi (Northwestern) def. Wagenvoort | 5-7, 6-2

Doubles Consolation Round One- Van Oost/Rischbieth (Northwestern) def. Medina/Wagenvoort | 8-6
