UTEP Women’s Golf: Delfosse Fifth after 36 Holes at MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – UTEP women’s golf junior Sophie Delfosse finished in fifth place after two rounds of play at the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial hosted by Missouri State on Monday.

Delfosse, ranking in the top five out of 79 competitors, is shooting 3-over par, 145 (71, 74) at Twin Oaks Country Club (par 71, 6,026). The native of Valenciennes, France, is seven strokes behind leader Missouri State’s Abby Cavaiani, who’s shooting 4-under par, 138 (69, 69).

Oral Roberts’ Kiana Oshiro (-1, 141) is in second, Wichita State’s Louisa Brunt (+1, 143) is in third, and Cal Baptist’s Hailey Loh (+2, 144) is in fourth place.

Overall, UTEP is ranked 11th. Oral Roberts leads the pack, shooting 14-over par, 582 (292, 290), while Cal Baptist is in second place, shooting 23-over par, 591 (296, 295).

Tuesday’s 18-hole third round is set to start at 8:30 a.m. CT/7:30 a.m. MT.
