UTEP Women’s Golf Heads Up Little Rock Classic Field

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE, ARK. — The UTEP women’s golf team is in first place through 18 holes of the Little Rock Classic on Sunday in Hot Springs Village, Ark.

The Miners shot a seven-under-par 295 in round one and have a narrow lead over Missouri Kansas City (296) with Central Arkansas in third place (298) out of 16 teams.

UTEP’s June Ting is tied atop the leaderboard after carding a two-under-par 70 on Sunday.  Missouri State’s Rachel Johnson also shot a 70 in the opening round.

The Miners’ Lily Downs is tied for seventh place (73), Alisa Rodriguez is tied for 17th place (75), Sofia Castiello is tied for 32nd place (77) and Crystal Wu is tied for 80th place (83).

The second round will be played on Monday with the final round scheduled for Tuesday.
