UTEP Women’s Golf Moves into 13th Place at Wyoming Cowgirl Classic

MARICOPA, ARIZ. — The UTEP women’s golf team is in 13th place with 36 holes in the books at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic on Monday in Maricopa, Ariz.

The Miners capped day one of the tourney with a score of 615 and rounds of 315 and 300.

Idaho (291-291-582), Santa Clara (287-296-583) and Boise State (300-290-590) compose the top-three teams at the 19-team event, which concludes on Tuesday.

Alisa Rodriguez is tied for 34th place with a seven-over-par 151 (79-72) to pace UTEP.  Sofia Castiello is tied for 40th place (75-77-152), Lily Downs (83-73-156) and June Ting (78-78-156) are tied for 60th place, and Patricia Rico-Avello is in 108th place (88-81-169).
