UTEP Women’s Golf Opens Bob Hurley Shootout in Ninth Place

TULSA, OKLA . — The UTEP women’s golf team is in ninth place through 36 holes at the Bob Hurley Shootout on Monday in Tulsa.

The Miners fired rounds of 318 and 309 respectively for a total of 627, which leaves them 28 strokes behind the leader Lamar (298-301-599).

UTEP’s June Ting is tied for 11th place with a nine-over-par 151 (75-76).  Alisa Rodriguez is tied for 22nd place (76-78-154), Lily Downs is tied for 48th place (85-75-160), Sofia Castiello is tied for 66th place (82-82-164) and Crystal Wu is tied for 82nd place (91-80-171).

Lamar’s Olivereen Le Roux is atop the leaderboard with a five-over-par 147.

A total of 17 teams are participating in the tournament, which concludes on Tuesday.
