UTEP Women’s Golf Snags 15th Place on Day One of Hawaii Tourney
KANE’OHE, O’AHU – The UTEP women’s golf team returned to action on Tuesday following a five-week break from competition. The Miners are in 15th place through 36 holes of the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational in Hawaii.
UTEP posted rounds of 311 and 325 for a total of 636. Tenth-ranked Oklahoma State leads the 16-team field (287-282-569).
The Miners’ Sofia Castiello is tied for 47th place with a 10-over-par 154 (76-78). June Ting is tied for 62ndplace (79-79-158), Alisa Rodriguez is tied for 75th place (76-85-161), Lily Downs is tied for 80th place (80-83-163) and Mirabela Woods is in 94th place (84-90-174).
The tournament concludes on Wednesday with the final round.
