UTEP Women’s Golf Tied for First at Little Rock Classic

HOT SPRINGS, ARK. — The UTEP women’s golf team is tied for first place through 36 holes of the Little Rock Classic on Monday in Hot Springs Village, Ark.

The Miners have a total of 593 (295-298) heading into Tuesday’s final round.  Central Arkansas has also shot 593 as a team (298-295).

It’s a close team race with Missouri Kansas City (296-301-597) and North Texas (299-298-597) tied for third place.  A total of 16 teams are participating in the tournament.

UTEP’s June Ting is still atop the leaderboard.  She has a two-under-par 142 (70-72) and is tied with UMKC’s Cynthia Diaz (71-71-142).

Rounding out the Miner scorecard are Lily Downs (tied for fourth, 73-72-145), Alisa Rodriguez (tied for 17th, 75-75-150), Sofia Castiello (tied for 58th, 77-81-158) and Crystal Wu (tied for 75th, 83-79-162).
