UTEP Women’s Golf Tied For Sixth at Texas State Invitational
KYLE, Tx – The UTEP women’s golf team is tied for sixth place with 18 holes in the books at the Texas State Invitational.
The Miners shot 306 in round one. Houston Baptist leads the 17-team field (294), with Central Arkansas in second (297), UTSA third (300), Georgia Southern fourth (302) and Texas State fifth (305).
The second round was not completed due to darkness and will be picked up on Tuesday. The third and final round will also be played tomorrow.
The individual leader is Central Arkansas’ Geraldine Wong with a two-under-par 69.
UTEP’s June Ting is tied for 11th place (74), Valeria Mendizabal is tied for 23rd place (76), Abbie Anghelescu is tied for 31st place (77), Lily Downs is tied for 50th place (79), Taylor Stone is tied for 65th place (81) and Crystal Wu is tied for 86th place (85).
