UTEP XC Completes Mountain Regional Championships on Friday

The UTEP men’s cross country squad finish 13th in the 10K event, while the women’s team placed 17th in the 6K race at the 2021 NCAA Mountain Regionals on Friday at Timpanogos Golf Club.

Ruth Jerubet (22:26.8) and Rodgers Korir (31:33.2) finished as the top Miners.

New Mexico (62) won the women’s race, while Colorado (83) and host BYU (107) rounded out the top three. BYU (42) captured the men’s team title, while Northern Arizona (57) and Colorado (83) rounded out the top three.

BYU’s Conner Mantz won the men’s individual crown, posting a time of 29:39.6, and Northern Arizona’s Taryn O’Neill took the women’s title, clocking in a 20:17.9.
