UTEP’s Amusan Named Conference USA Athlete of the Week

Irving, Texas – UTEP’s Tobi Amusan was named the Conference USA Female Track Athlete of the on Tuesdayby the conference offices. Amusan ran the fifth-fastest 100m hurdle time in the world for 2016 on Saturdaywith a time of 13.06 to finish second.

Amusan, who was the 2015 champion in the 100m hurdles at the African Games, has performed superbly since arriving in El Paso in January. Amusan won gold in the 60m hurdles at the C-USA Indoor Championships in February.

Her time of 13.06 ranks third best in program history and is the third-fastest time in the nation.

She will run in the 100m hurdles this weekend at the Texas Relays.
