UTEP’s Andrew Stokes earns C-USA Spirit of Service Award

DALLAS – UTEP football student-athlete Andrew Stokes is among 14 honorees for the Fall Conference USA Spirit of Service Award, it was officially announced by the league on Wednesday.

Junior Andrew Stokes is a member of the UTEP football team and was named to the 2020 Conference USA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll as a Political Science major.

He performed more than 35 hours of community service at Elks Lodge 187 in El Paso, helping to organize food and make food boxes for a Christmas dinner for veterans, orphans, homeless individuals and others in need.

Conference USA’s Spirit of Service Award honors 14 of the league’s student-athletes with significant community service endeavors, excellent academic standing and notable athletic achievements.

The Spirit of Service award is presented three times throughout the season, with Wednesday’s honorees representing men’s and women’s cross country and football.
