IRVING, TEXAS– UTEP volleyball’s Lindsey Larson was one of 12 student-athletes named to the Conference USA All-Academic Team, the league announced on Thursday.
This year’s team features four seniors, six juniors and two sophomores including six repeat selections from last season. The all-academic team consists of student-athletes who have earned a 3.2 cumulative grade point average or better and are a starter or key reserve on their team.
Larson, who maintains a 3.90 GPA in civil engineering, landed a spot on the squad for the second consecutive season. The junior is a regular member on UTEP’s Dean List and appeared in the Commissioner’s Academic Medalist list the last two years.
The setter has also been named to C-USA’s Commissioner’s Honor Roll from 2012- 2014.
On the court, Larson has played in 118 sets and started in all 31 matches. She ranks eighth in C-USA and first on the squad with 1,040 total assists.
The junior paces the team with 32 service aces, is second in digs (362) and blocks (104) while adding 107 kills.
