UTEP Volleyball’s Lindsey Larson was named the Conference USA Setter of the week, announced by the leagueon Monday. This is the first award of the junior’s career.
The Humboldt, Saskatchewan, Canada-native totaled 86 assist, 26 digs, 10 kills, eight blocks and two service aces over the course of the undefeated week for the Miners.
The junior recorded her 16th double-double of the season against UAB on Friday (11/6) with 53 assists and 19 digs while adding five kills, four blocks and a service ace.The setter then followed that performance with 33 assists, five kills, seven digs, four blocks and a service against Louisiana Tech on Sunday (11/8).
Larson is ranked eighth in C-USA as she averages 8.85 assists per set with a total of 974 assists.
UTEP will conclude C-USA action on the road this week as it faces Rice on Thursday at 5 p.m. (MT) in Houston, Texas and Western Kentucky on Saturday at 11 a.m. (MT) in Bowling Green, Ky.
