UTEP Track’s Lucia Mokrasova
Irving, Texas – Lucia Mokrasova was rewarded for her excellent performance this weekend in the pentathlon at the Texas A&M Invitational by being named the Conference USA Female Field Athlete of the Week.
Mokrasova broke the school record in the pentathlon by scoring 3,950 points. Mokrasova, who was competing in her first full pentathlon upon arriving in El Paso, eclipsed Jallycia Pearson’s (2015) school record by 82 points.

The sophomore started her day off with a time of 8.79 (954 points) in the 60m hurdles. She then progressed onto clearing 1.66m (5-5.25) in the high jump for 806 points.
