UTEP Athletics officials announced that, due to inclement weather and field conditions following this week’s winter storms in Texas, the Miners’ upcoming soccer match at Lubbock Christian has been canceled.
The match was originally scheduled for Sunday, February 21 in Lubbock, Texas.
This marks the second cancellation in as many days for the Miners after Friday’s match versus Angelo State was also called off due to similar weather-related issues.
The Miners will now turn their attention to Conference USA play, which is set to open on Sunday, Feruary 28 versus Louisiana Tech. The match is set for 11 a.m. MT at University Field in El Paso.
