The Dogs tacked on a couple more, as catcher Chris Stewart (.217 BA) hit one off the left field foul pole in the 2nd inning and third baseman Seth Mejias-Brean (.322 BA) singled in a run in the 3rd inning.

The Chihuahuas added two more runs in the 7th inning when Quiroz popped a broken-bat looper into shallow center field that scored two runs, El Paso 5-2.

The winning pitcher was Keel (3-0) and the losing pitcher was Jake McGee, who is on a minor league rehab assignment for the Rockies after a left knee sprain in April.  Attendance was 8,792 at Southwest University Park.
