Video+Story: Del Valle High duo wins 2019 “Recycle Right, El Paso” Video PSA Contest

On Monday, officials with the City of El Paso’s Environmental Services Department (ESD)announced the winners of the 2019 “Recycle Right, El Paso” Video PSA Contest for high school students.

Students were asked to create a 30-second video public service announcement (PSA) based on the theme “Recycle Right, El Paso.”

The videos focused on recyclable items that are accepted in El Paso, along with attention items not accepted.

A panel of judges from the department’s ESD Earth Day Committee selected the winners.

Winning entries will be televised on CityTV and the City’s YouTube channel.

  • First Place: Brandon Whipple and Noemi Quinonez, Del Valle High School
  • Second Place: Carlos Olivarez and Angelica Valdez, Montwood High School
  • Third Place: Roberto Adame, Del Valle High School
