The Sun Bowl Association and the Vista Hills Country Club are hosting the 2015 Hyundai Sun Bowl Fan Golf Challenge on Sunday, Dec. 20 at 11:00 a.m. (MT)

Fans from the 2015 Hyundai Sun Bowl teams (Miami and Washington State) will be pitted against each other in an 18-hole two-person scramble match play tournament. The event is also open to anyone who wants to play a fun round of golf.

“The Hyundai Sun Bowl Fan Golf Challenge at Vista Hills Country Club is another opportunity to showcase El Paso to our visitors/guests and provides another sports venue for all Sun Bowl Fans,” tournament coordinator Bill Greenwald said.

Seventy-six players are currently signed-up to participate in this year’s Hyundai Sun Bowl Fan Golf Challenge. Of the 76 participants, 20 are Miami fans and another 20 are Washington State fans.

Also, for the first time in the event’s history, professionals from several golf clubs are playing against each other in a Pro Division/Flight. The golf clubs represented will be Underwood Golf Complex, Horizon Golf Club, Lone Star Golf Club and Vista Hills Country Golf Club.

This will be the third-consecutive year that Vista Hills Country Club will host the Hyundai Sun Bowl Golf Challenge.
