Website ranks El Paso #1 for ‘Affordable Living’ in the US

The City of El Paso has been ranked the most affordable major city in the U.S. in a study by the website move.org.

“El Pasoans know that we are one of the best cities to live in and we’re becoming even more dynamic every year because we are investing in ourselves,” said City Manager Tommy Gonzalez.

“Our low cost of living, extraordinary workforce, and our focus to deliver exceptional service that support a high quality of life for our community continues to draw nationwide commendations.”

The study looked into the average monthly costs of five common expenses such as the cost of a 1-bedroom apartment, utilities, internet, gasoline and water.

The ranking lauded El Paso as being ideal for those seeking outdoor adventure; and of the 75 cities researched, El Paso ranked amongst the top 20 most affordable college towns.

The data was compiled from the 75 major cities in the U.S. The complete list of the “Cities with the Lowest Cost of Living” is available online.
