Western Tech Makes Donations to Local Charities

During its Student Success Event at the Diana Campus on Red Nose Day, Western Technical College made donations to three local charities.

Campus leaders presented $1000 checks to the Lee & Beulah Moor Children’s Home, the Reynolds Home, and Walgreens.

“It’s been a blessing working with Western Tech for the past five years,” said Starlyn Lucero Ortiz, Volunteer Coordinator for the Reynolds Home.

“As El Paso’s only children’s home, we currently serve 72 of El Paso’s children in need and will be expanding to 82 before the summer comes to an end,” said Shannon Adams, Community Relations and Development Coordinator for Lee & Beulah Moor Children’s Home.  “It is because of the generous support of the El Paso community and organizations such as Western Tech that we are able to offer such amazing care and opportunities to our children.”

“Partnering with Western Tech on Red Nose Day has been a big asset,” said Mike Portillo, Walgreen Store Manager on Yarbrough and Montana.  “This has been a great experience.”
