Wet N Wild to host annual ‘World’s Largest Swimming Lesson’ June 17th

In partnership with the City of El Paso’s Parks and Recreation Department and the Drowning Prevention Coalition of El Paso, Wet n Wild Waterworld will again host the 12th Annual World’s Largest Swimming Lesson (WLSL).

This event provides a free swimming lesson to hundreds of borderland kids and grownups. There will be two free lessons beginning at 9am and 9:45am and will last for half an hour.

Registration for the lesson opens at 8am at the park gates on a first come, first serve basis.

“Tens of thousands of kids and adults at aquatic facilities around the world will unite for the 12th year in a row to make noise that Swimming Lessons Save Lives,” organizers share. “This global event, will take place over the course of 24 hours at an estimated 600 locations in more than 20 countries”

Wet ‘N’ Wild Waterworld officials say they are expecting approximately 200 participants.
