According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPCSO), a woman was arrested on Thursday for an improper relationship with a student.
On February 17, 2022, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Warrant & Fugitive Apprehension Unit, and deputies assigned to Peter J. Herrera Patrol Station were conducting an investigation about a wanted subject at the 13000 block of Paseo De Vida in El Paso County.
EPCSO officials say the subject – 58-year-old Rachel Montellano – was wanted in El Paso County for Improper Relationship between Educator/Student.
During the investigation, EPCSO deputies found and made contact with a woman resembling Montellano. The woman was positively identified as Montellano, and she was taken into custody without incident.
Montellano was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility with a bond of $50,000.
EPCSO officials have not revealed Montellano’s position, nor the school where she worked.
