Workforce Solutions Borderplex partners with Texas company for Bilingual Remote Hiring Spree

Workforce Solutions Borderplex (WSB) officials shared Wednesday that recent job placement efforts at have proven successful in a recent partnership with Round Rock-based Trellis Company, a non-profit organization that helps students repay student loans.

The WSB Business Services Unit began a search for bilingual candidates to fill full-time, work-from-home jobs in February. In a 6-week span, 38 individuals have been employed.

“I’m confident that our workforce is ready to make a great impression on Trellis Company. We are prepared to continue developing job candidates of all skill levels,” said Leila Melendez, CEO of Workforce Solutions Borderplex.

“Now that our region has adapted to work-from-home environments, we can expand our business services statewide and evolve our capacity to serve employers of all states.”

Trellis Company has plans to continue expanding with remote-work positions, seeking up to 200 more qualified candidates from the El Paso area.

“The bilingual workforce is a valuable addition for us,” said Linda Hackleman, VP of Human Resources at Trellis Company. “We have been very impressed with what the Borderplex is able to deliver and are excited for the potential of this new partnership.”
