On Friday, Workforce Solutions Borderplex (WSB) officials shared updates on their Ready to Work campaign, along with news from the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) related to Governor Abbott’s recent announcement on unemployment programs in Texas.
“Things are on high-speed now as we prepare for so many people to return to their workplaces. We are monitoring the unemployment rate as it steadily declines and we are proud to offer tools and resources to assist employers, employees and jobseekers during this stressful, yet productive time,” said Bianca Cervantes, WSB Communications Director.
Earlier this week, TWC shared that Governor Abbott announced that effective June 26th Texas would no longer participate in the federally funded unemployment programs. His announcement can be viewed at via this link.
