On Friday, Workforce Solutions Borderplex (WSB) officials announced that beginning next week, the community will have even more access to services, thanks to the organization’s pop up offices.
“While many of our offices are still closed, so many people are still looking for work or needing resources to get back on track. We are making it easy for individuals to access our services by bringing them to areas with limited resources,” said Lucio Glenn, Community Resources Development Specialist for Workforce Solutions Borderplex.
The WSB Solutions Crew will be setting up their pop up operations and trailers throughout the area.
Each trailer will be managed by a WSB Crew Member who will run the pop-up office, offer program guidance for those looking for a job, skills training through workshops, childcare enrollment, and various other available services. Free access to a computer and internet is also available.
The pop-up locations are determined by engagement with community partners. To date, WSB has received commitments from the City of San Elizario, the City of Socorro, Centro Sin Fronteras, and other community-based organizations.
WSB hopes to identify additional partners willing to participate with the Solutions Crew while becoming Workforce Solutions Certified Ambassadors.
