Wynton Marsalis to Perform in El Paso this October

This Fall, El Paso Pro-Musica and Zuill Bailey will be hosting nine-time Grammy Award-Winning Musical Artist Wynton Marsalis for an intimate concert.

Marsalis and Jazz at Lincoln Center will perform on Saturday, October 6 at 7:30 at the First Baptist Church of El Paso, located at 805 Montana Avenue.

Artistic Director, and Grammy Award Winner Zuill Bailey says he is proud to bring Mr. Marsalis to El Paso for a Special Intimate Concert Setting.

“Mr. Marsalis devotes much of his time and energy to educating students, creating a love of music for future generations,” Bailey said. ” I am privileged to help honor his dream of providing musical knowledge, skills and appreciation for our youth.”

This Special Concert will feature the music of the incomparable Duke Ellington. Marsalis and the JLCO will come to El Paso on a tour through the Southwest, including the Mesa Arts Center, Tucson and Lubbock.

Marsalis is the first and only Musical Artist to receive Grammy’s for work in both Classical and Jazz categories.
