Ysleta ISD names new Associate Superintendent of High Schools

On Wednesday, Ysleta ISD officials announced their  new Associate Superintendent of High Schools, effective immediately.

“The Ysleta Independent School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Silvia Rendon as the new Associate Superintendent of High Schools,” district officials shared via a news release.

Rendon, the former principal of Ysleta High School, has been serving as the Ysleta ISD’s interim Associate Superintendent of High Schools throughout the summer break.

She began her career in education as an integrated physics and chemistry teacher in 2000, later serving as a high school assistant principal and high school principal.

Rendon holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at El Paso and a master’s degree from Sul Ross State University.
