Ysleta ISD looks to community to name the new Riverside area Elementary Campus

The Ysleta Independent School District is taking recommendations for the name of the new elementary school in the Riverside learning community.

Students from Ascarate Elementary School and Cedar Grove Elementary School will benefit from this soon-to-be-built 21st-century learning environment.
District officials share that the new campus replaces the 82-year old Ascarate Elementary School campus, and Cedar Grove Elementary School, a 60-year-old campus.
The new school was part of the voter-approved 2019 Bond, which Ysleta ISD officials shared was Phase 2 of a Long-Range Plan, which began in 2015 to address every student and every teacher at every campus in the district.
Nominations must be completed using the “Nomination Form to Name a New School/Facility” at the link below. The form should be submitted along with supplemental material via electronic mail or by mail.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, May 21, 2021. Click here to download the nomination form.
