2020-21 Ysleta ISD Virtual Secondary Science Fair winners honored

On Thursday, Ysleta ISD announced the winners of its 2020-2021 YISD Virtual Secondary Science Fair, with dozens of students from 10 middle  schools/high schools capturing the top two awards in their categories and moving on to compete in the regional virtual science fair later this month.

Five students also won Sweepstakes awards in the categories of Engineering, Life Sciences, and Physical Sciences, while first-place campus awards went to Eastwood Middle School and Del Valle High School.

“Our first- and second-place winners in each category will now go on to compete at the Sun Country Regional Science Fair, and first-place Sun Country winners will compete in the Texas state science fair,” YISD officials shared.

“A huge thanks to campus science fair coordinators and students, who made this milestone year of Virtual Secondary Science Fair a success – and best of luck to those moving on to the regional and state science fairs!,” officials added.
